Sound tuning is one of the most complicated aspects of BeamNG modding in my opinion, so I can understand why getting the 5.0L Coyote sounds right can be a chore. And obviously, the exhausts found on export models are quieter than domestic ones due to various government regulations overseas. As a side note, Shelby models like the GT350 and GT500 have this system by default. The EcoBoost variant wouldn't receive it until a year later, but only when equipped with the quad-tip exhausts. In 2018, GT models gain an active exhaust system when the dual-tip exhausts are swapped for the quad-tips. There is, however, a difference between the pre-facelift (2015 - 2017) and facelift (2018 - present) models that may affect the sounds. There aren't any differences between 20 models, as both are the facelift model years.
